What happens after you pay with bKash or Nagad
Mobile money transfers are checked by a person before your booking is confirmed. Here is why that step exists, how long it takes, and what to do if something looks wrong.
Paying for a consultation with bKash or Nagad works slightly differently from paying by card. It is worth understanding why, because the difference is there to protect you.
The transfer is verified by a person
When you pay by card or from your OnlineDoctorBD wallet, the money moves inside a system we control and the booking confirms instantly. A bKash or Nagad transfer, by contrast, happens in your wallet app — we only learn about it when you tell us the transaction ID.
So that is exactly what we ask for. You send the fee to the receiving number shown on the booking page, then enter the transaction ID from your confirmation SMS. Your slot is immediately held — nobody else can take it — and an administrator checks the transaction ID against the money actually received.
What each status means
- Pending — we have your transaction ID and your slot is reserved. The consultation is not confirmed yet.
- Confirmed — the transfer was matched. You will get a notification, and the appointment is fully booked.
- Cancelled — the transfer could not be matched. This almost always means a typo in the transaction ID or money sent to a different number.
Getting it right first time
- Send the exact fee shown on the booking page. A short payment cannot be matched automatically.
- Send to the number displayed on that page, and note whether it is a Personal or Merchant account — it changes which menu option you use in the bKash app.
- Copy the transaction ID from the SMS rather than typing it. Confusing 0 with O, or 1 with I, is the single most common reason a payment fails verification.
Refunds go to your wallet
If you cancel a confirmed appointment, the fee returns to your OnlineDoctorBD wallet rather than back down the bKash chain. That is deliberate: a wallet refund is instant and has no transfer cost, so the full amount is there for your next booking. You can see every credit and debit under Wallet, and every payment has a printable invoice under Payment History.
One fee, no extras
The consultation fee on the doctor's card is the whole amount you pay. There is no booking charge and no service fee added at checkout. The platform's share comes out of that same fee — it is a split of money already collected, not an addition to your bill.
