For doctors: publishing your hours and getting paid on time
How consultation windows, slot generation, the revenue split and payout claims actually work — so you can run a predictable practice on the platform.
Joining a platform is easy. Making it fit a clinical week is the part that matters. This is how scheduling and payment work on OnlineDoctorBD, described the way a practising doctor would want it explained.
Getting started
Register with your email, specialty, qualifications, experience and your online and in-person fees. An administrator reviews the profile before it goes live — that verification step is what allows every doctor card on the site to be labelled verified, so it protects your reputation as much as the patient's safety.
Consultation hours, not appointments
You never enter individual appointments. You publish windows — for example Sunday to Thursday, 6 pm to 9 pm, in 20-minute slots — and the platform generates the bookable slots from them. Patients only ever see times you opened, and a slot disappears from public view the moment it is booked.
Practical points worth knowing:
- One window can be applied to several weekdays at once; setting up a full week takes a minute, not an evening.
- Slot length is yours to set per window. Follow-up-heavy sessions can run shorter than new-patient sessions.
- Going away? Pause a window instead of deleting it. Paused windows stop generating slots and come back exactly as they were.
- Your card on the search page shows your next free slots. Keeping a window open in the next few days is the difference between appearing bookable and appearing unavailable.
How the money works
Each paid consultation fee is split the moment the payment is confirmed: the platform takes a commission at an administrator-set percentage, and the remainder is credited to you as an earning. The rate in force is stored on every individual payment, so a later change to the percentage never rewrites what you have already earned.
Your earnings page shows, for every appointment, the gross fee, the commission and your net share — along with whether that earning has been settled yet.
Two ways to be paid
- On the schedule. The administrator settles doctors per appointment, daily, weekly or monthly, depending on how the platform is configured.
- On your request. Submit a payout claim covering everything you are currently owed, and the admin reviews it. You do not have to wait for the next cycle.
One rule governs both: an earning becomes claimable only after the consultation is marked Completed. Money from an appointment that has not happened could still be refunded to the patient, so it is not yours to draw yet. Marking your completed consultations promptly is the fastest way to get paid.
Set your payout account before your first claim
Add your bKash, Nagad, Rocket or bank details under your profile. An earning with nowhere to go is held rather than transferred, and that is a frustrating way to discover a blank field.
